MEDIA RELEASE – 22 April 2010

Canberra’s nationally award winning markets, the Old Bus Depot Markets, will open on ANZAC Day, this coming Sunday 25 April. The Markets will open as usual from 10am until 4pm.

“We will observe this very special day on the nation’s calendar with one minute’s silence throughout the Markets at 11am,” said Old Bus Depot Markets manager, Diane Hinds.

“We invite locals and tourists to visit the markets if they’re looking for an enjoyable day out following the ANZAC Day commemorations and Dawn Service that morning.

“One of our stallholders, Alison Tolley of Divine and Delicious, located on the markets’ lower level, will be selling scrumptious Anzac biscuits to commemorate the day,” Ms Hinds concluded.

Located in the Old Bus Depot Building on the Kingston Foreshore, Canberra’s premier indoor markets have a contemporary urban feel and promise a pleasurable experience for locals and tourists alike. The Old Bus Depot Markets are open every Sunday from 10am – 4pm. More information available at www.obdm.com.au
