AEIOU Canberra region centre open day – introducing integrated therapy, care and early education

mediawire by September 30, 2022

AEIOU Foundation Canberra Region is hosting an Open Day on Wednesday 12 October 2022, so families and caregivers can learn more about how therapy, care and early education can be combined to support the learning needs of young children with autism.

The Open Days are for families with children under five, and include a workshop to assist in the early years of an autism diagnosis.

AEIOU Canberra Region Manager Enia Alberto looks forward connecting with local families. “Navigating the early years of an autism diagnosis can be daunting. We offer a wonderful community and support for parents and caregivers, and value the opportunity to share more about what we do at AEIOU.”

Kayla Gifford said she is delighted with the support her son and family have received since joining AEIOU Canberra Region. “I honestly cannot believe some of the things he is doing. He can tell us things that have happened in his day, he is eating new foods, and so much more. AEIOU has changed his, and our lives.”

All parents and carers, or those simply interested in learning more about autism-specific early intervention therapy, are invited to join their local Open Day event on 12 October at 10am.

The Open day includes a tour of the facilities available in the centre, information about AEIOU’s curriculum, an introductory workshop and the chance connect with the team and ask questions.

All are welcome. Visit aeiou.org.au/open-days to register or phone 1300 273 435 for information.
