This weekend the Canberra community is invited to celebrate the official ‘birth day’ of The RUC at Turner after the merger of The ACT Rugby Union Club, known as The RUC Barton, with the Canberra North Bowling Club.
The birthday celebrations will take place at the new The RUC at Turner this coming Sunday 30 November.
The RUC at Turner is giving a new lease on life to one of Canberra’s most historic bowling establishments and has undergone extensive refurbishments including improvements to the food and beverage offerings, new furniture, fixtures and fittings as well as a brand new bar, reception and gaming area.
The community is invited to celebrate from 1pm this Sunday with free food, beer and wine tastings, free lawn bowls for kids and adults, cricket on the big screen and Elvis in the building from 4pm.
The official birthday celebrations will be marked at 3.45pm with the Minister for Gaming and Racing, Joy Burch, cutting the ribbon.
