Marketing hospitality with Capital Hotels

Capital Hotels is a Canberra owned and operated hospitality group, offering three centrally located hotels – Avenue Hotel, Deco Hotel, and Pavilion on Northbourne. Each property provides comfortable and stylish rooms, catering to both business and leisure travellers, while promoting the vibrant culture and attractions of Canberra. Each property also features a restaurant, Marble & Grain, Restaurant Two14, and Atrium.

Our approach

With a strong history grounded in tourism and destination marketing, Threesides was excited to be working with Capital Hotels as owner-operator of three of the capital’s most well-known and loved hotels. Initially engaged to assist with social media content creation for the three properties and the group’s corporate social media account, our services and approach has evolved just as Capital Hotels has.  

As the digital landscape shifted, the focus for Capital Hotels moved to the digital advertising space and we developed a Digital Advertising Strategy to assist in developing targeted and relevant campaigns, reach the desired audiences and allow Capital Hotels to measure success against each goal. We also undertook a short-run partnership marketing campaign blending Avenue Hotel with Bentspoke Brewing Co with a unique beer tasting hotel experience. 

Our social media approach has elevated each of the properties’ social channels from static posts and mundane ‘room shot’ content, to the creation of reels and animated carousels with regular content capture onsite and the use of exquisite photography befitting each of the hotel’s individual brand styles and assets. We also ensure the accommodation ‘sells’ Canberra as a place with lots happening throughout the year to attract the leisure market.
