Meet Shannon, one of the friendly faces and steady hands behind the scenes at Threesides. As our Admin Officer, she keeps the day-to-day running smoothly, bringing a calm, down-to-earth energy and a great sense of humour that instantly puts the team at ease. Shannon looks after accounts, invoices, bills and staff pay, plus all the small but important details that keep the office ticking, like keeping milk in the fridge and chocolate close by. If things feel organised and quietly taken care of, chances are Shannon is involved.
Originally from a tiny country town called Beacon in Western Australia, Shannon moved to Canberra 15 years ago, looking for a change from WA life and to help her newly pregnant best friend. Canberra turned out to be a great fit, with its country-town feel, great food scene and plenty going on. She still misses the beach, but she’s well and truly made herself at home here.
She’s the youngest of three, with two older brothers, a crew of nephews and a niece, and a great-nephew named Sunny, who she adores. Growing up in a small country town shaped her to be grounded, loyal and genuinely caring, qualities that show up every day in how she works and how she connects with the team.
Shannon brings almost 30 years of experience across dental nursing and reception work, along with retail, and a year living and working in the UK near Windsor Castle (yes, really). She joined Threesides as maternity cover for our much-loved Britt, but it didn’t take long for us to realise we wanted to keep her, so we did! On her days off, she also works at Mecca, so if you ever need makeup or skincare advice, she’s your girl.
