Iona joined the Threesides team in January 2025 as our newest marketing coordinator. A proud Geordie hailing from Newcastle in the UK, she studied English Literature at Liverpool John Moores University before returning home to complete her Master’s in Public Relations and Media at Newcastle University. She’s now putting that foundation in storytelling, strategy and communications to work as she learns the ropes at Threesides, getting across everything from social content and EDMs to blog writing and client briefs.
Iona made the move to Canberra in mid-2024 with her Aussie partner, having only visited the city for a whirlwind 24 hours before committing to the big move. She’s been settling into life on this side of the world ever since. Before landing in the capital, she’d already ticked off 34 countries across two backpacking trips, so adapting to new surroundings is well and truly in her nature.
Outside of work, you’ll likely find Iona scouring the racks at Vinnies or any op shop she can get her hands on. She also has a beloved dog named Monty back in the UK, who she’s had since she was 10 (he’s now a grand 15 years old). She’s a keen home cook who’s always hunting for her next recipe obsession on TikTok, and she loves getting out to concerts, festivals and a good dinner.
