Media Release – 15 March 2012

This year marks a quarter of a century celebrating jazz in Thredbo with the 25th Yalumba Jazz Festival being held on 23 – 25 March.

“The festival has always brought music fans to the Thredbo Valley for world class jazz music in a spectacular autumn alpine setting,” said Tourism Snowy Mountains spokesperson, Jade Guttridge.

“This year the festival has some of the best jazz players in Australia, plus jazz fusion and funk & groove performers of an outstanding caliber on offer,” she continued.

The 25th Yalumba Jazz Festival will this year see Australian and international acts play in venues concentrated in the Thredbo Village Centre and at the top of the chair lift. Featured artists include the James Valentine Quartet, Ian and Nigel Date, Andrew Dickeson and the Ray Beadle Band.

“Here in the NSW Snowy Mountains we’d like to welcome visitors to Thredbo for this fabulous three day music festival. Our Thredbo properties have some terrific accommodation deals on offer and tickets are still available, but get in quick to avoid disappointment,” Jade concluded.

Tickets to the 25th Yalumba Jazz Festival in Thredbo are available now with three day festival passes at just $140 per person. One day, evening only and all inclusive accommodation packages are also available. Tickets can be booked via www.thredbojazz.com.au
