The snow has well and truly arrived with a big dump of the white stuff over the past week in Thredbo. Plenty of people have been making the trip to the snow and Lantern Thredbo Apartments are offering great value weekends away – and some great tips on avoiding the crowds too!
“Winter 2011 is shaping up to be a great season so far. As weekends are the busiest time in the snowies, Ian suggests a few ways you can beat the crowds on a busy weekend.
“Staying in Thredbo can save you a lot of time as you don’t have to join the heavy traffic making its way up from Jindabyne each morning.
“We’d also recommend that you leave home early on the Friday. If you can arrive in Thredbo before dark then you have the evening to relax, and in the morning you can be out of bed early to beat the crowds onto the first chairlift at 8.30am.
“Another way to beat the crowds is to have an early morning break on the slopes. Then when everyone heads in for lunch you can keep skiing and enjoy the lighter traffic on the hill,” he continued.
Winter weekends at the Lantern Thredbo Apartments are available throughout most of the season for as little as $150 per person, four share, in June and September, or for just $275 per person, four share, in July and August. These prices are great value for two nights’ accommodation in Thredbo in a four star apartment.
