As a Tier 1 registered not-for-profit, CHC houses more than 1,900 people through 804 tenancies, reinvesting all revenue back into expanding affordable rental supply for Canberrans on low to moderate incomes.
What They Do
CHC develops and manages affordable housing across Canberra, offering rental properties at less than 75 per cent of market rates. They work on innovative residential developments including build-to-rent projects, land rent schemes, and pathways to home ownership for their tenants. Current projects include major developments in Phillip, Taylor, and Throsby, delivering hundreds of new affordable homes to meet growing community need.
