2021 is here! And there’s a sense of energy and optimism in the marketing world. Australia has always been a great place to live, but the last 12 months have really cemented the fact that we are one of the luckiest countries in the world. In this month’s wrap, we take a look at remarketing on Facebook, a beautifully sculpted collab between Avenue Hotel and the National Gallery of Australia, plus a new look Trevs and more.
Make more time for social media video marketing in 2021
Is your social media strategy getting stagnant? When was the last time you refreshed your plans and tactics? One thing we have all learnt from staying at home throughout 2020 is that people watch a lot of videos – and we mean A LOT! According to YouTube, more than one billion hours of video are watched every day, and research suggests social media video ad spend will grow by 44% from 2019 to reach a whopping $14.89b by the end of 2021. The good news for you is that Sproutsocial have taken an in-depth look at what you can achieve with video, and we recommend giving it a read to find out the five goals you can accomplish with social media video marketing.
New year, new look for Trevs
As those of you that live in and around Dickson would know, the team at Trevs at Dickson took an extended break over the Christmas period, reopening on January 16 this year. It wasn’t all laying around in hammocks and catching up on the latest good book for Trev though; our favourite chef took some time to refurbish his interior and we think it looks great, pop in to check it out and try the new menu!
Why Facebook is still the king of remarketing
Are you making the most out of your retargeting tactics on Facebook? Unlike display ads on Google, which have been shown to suffer from ‘carousel banner blindness’, Facebook inserts their ads directly into the user’s news feed similar to natural content – one of the main reasons it is probably the best online remarketing tool you have at your disposal. Avenue Hotel sculpts a cracking collaboration
The Capital Hotel Group recently won a grant for Avenue Hotel to collaborate with the National Gallery of Australia for a tourism package that includes a picnic in the renowned Sculpture Garden. The four sculpture gardens, designed with the four seasons in mind, feature over 20 different sculptures by Australian and International artists, including Bert Flugelman’s iconic Cones, that reflect and distort the earth, sky, and luscious vegetation in the Summer Garden.
