Ever seen a giant loaf of bread that also happens to be a trampoline? Wonder White, launched a new television campaign featuring children jumping and playing on a giant Wonder White bread loaf trampoline. The campaign aims to promote the company as “Australia’s favourite family bread” and a “playful family food brand”.

Australia’s local marketplace, Gumtree has recently re-branded itself as part of its 10th birthday down under. Along with a new contemporary logo, Gumtree has launched a mass marketing campaign and upgraded its website design and features as it prepares for the imminent arrival of US giant Amazon.

To Gif or not to Gif. A new study by Sprout Social agency has revealed that more than 40% of online users found it annoying when brands use GIFs on social media. That’s not all, around 70% of users also found it annoying when brands get political on social media. Yikes.

Latest research from Adobe Insights have found Australian consumers prefer completing a purchase via desktop despite increasing browser traffic towards smartphones.  Marketers still recognise desktop as the final destination in the multi-device consumer experience, although smartphone conversions are growing at faster rate, but lacking in the creation of the right smartphone website experience.

Facebook’s latest feature on connecting with your friends will make Snapchat or InstaStories feel like ancient history. Facebook Spaces, a virtual reality app will soon allow users of virtual reality systems to live stream themselves as avatars and virtual transport users anywhere from visiting the Great Wall of China to a trip to outer space. Did I also mention there’s a virtual selfie stick to capture the moment?
