Websites: Creating Effective Content and Launching Your Site
This workshop introduces participants to the art of creating interesting and informative content for your site that is easy to view and improves your marketing potential. Then it is ready, set, go to site launch where our presenter will provide you with tips to getting your site ready for the rest of the world to see. If you already have a live website this is a great workshop to help you evaluate your content and get new ideas on how to revamp your site to reflect your brand and tell your story.
Topics include:
- Writing for the web – basic principles
- Tips for editing and adding multimedia (e.g. video, images) to your website
- Metadata – what is it, where do you find it and why is it important
- Ensuring your site is browser and mobile compatible (e.g. Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox)
- Domains and hosting – what you need to know to launch your site
- After launch – starting to consider your online marketing plan
