Media Release – Monday 20 May 2013

Several pairs of hot pink football boots, produced for the Harvey Norman 2013 Women in League round and worn and signed by Canberra Raiders and Penrith Panthers players over the weekend, are now up for auction on ALLBIDS.

“We’re great supporters of the Women in League initiative,” said Richard Hume, Chief Operating Officer of ALLBIDS.

“These pink ASICS Lethal Tigreor boots are not only eye-catching and unique, they are a great piece of sporting memorabilia and their sale will raise money for a range of charities.”

With boots worn by Canberra Raiders players Josh Papalii, Blake Ferguson, David Shillington, Reece Robinson and Sandor Earl, proceeds from the sale of the Raiders boots will go to the Terry Campese Foundation, a charity which supports a range of not-for-profit organisations in Canberra, Queanbeyan and Southern New South Wales.

There are also four pairs of boots signed by Penrith Panthers stars Tim Grant, James Segeyaro, Clint Newton and Lewis Brown up for grabs, with proceeds from these auctions going to support the Nepean Family Room in the Neonatal unit at Nepean Hospital.

The auctions end on the evening of Friday 24 May 2013. Check them out and place a bid at http://www.allbids.com.au/Category/?T=Women-in-League-Pink-Boots&ID=1164.
