Media Alert – 27 April 2012

The Old Bus Depot Markets will be warming up with top quality Australian wool products at its special annual event A Celebration of Wool on Sunday 20 May.

Visitors will be able to meet and speak to wool producers, craftspeople and artists, view hand spinning, learn about hand felting, watch people weaving and try on some very interesting handmade woolen garments.

A Celebration of Wool will offer around an additional 40 extra stalls at the market with hand felted garments and accessories, designer knitwear, millinery, weavings, funky beanies and farm label knitwear. With a vast array of woollen yarns, including hand spun and hand dyed yarns, visitors can stock up on woollen hats, scarves and socks in time for winter, or purchase some wool to get cracking on their own creations.

A Celebration of Wool at the Old Bus Depot Markets will be held on Sunday 20 May and is open from 10am to 4pm. For more information visit www.obdm.com.au
