Canberra’s famous annual Wool Expo is back at the Old Bus Depot Markets in Kingston, opening this Saturday 14th May and running until Sunday 15th May.
Across two fantastic days, Canberra Wool Expo will be showcasing the very best of Australian wool artists, craftsman, and producers. Come down to Old Bus Depot Markets to hear from the craftsman themselves and witness their demonstrations from hand-spinning to felting, and weaving.
“We are very excited to have the Canberra Wool Expo back and to be showcasing the latest designs and work from Australia’s most talented craftsmen and producers,” said Old Bus Depot Markets Manager, Richard Vagi.
Come down to browse and buy high quality and hand-crafted goods from our talented producers. With a vast array of woolly under garments, coats, jumpers, hand felted garments and accessories, weavings, funky beanies, woollen yarns and farm label knitwear for purchase.
“This year’s stallholders are excited to present their latest collections of high-quality woollen products to Canberra and the local community, just in time for winter! Visitors can expect an abundance of luxury items and fun for the whole family with many craftsmen demonstrating their talents. Be sure to keep an eye out for local celebrity alpaca Hephner who will be roaming the markets on both Saturday and Sunday,” says Richard.
