Switched on Cycles

Switched on Cycles was established in 2009 by partners Simone Annis and Kim Houghton who bring good quality, mid-priced electric bikes (e-bikes) to Canberra and the region. After many years travelling to China, Kim saw the introduction of e-bikes, which he had never seen in Canberra before, and decided to start up the business primarily because Canberra is a great city for bike riding, has awesome bike infrastructure and relatively small commute distances. E-bikes are cheap to run, speed limited to between 25-30 kilometres per hour, can be used as a regular pedal powered bike and are plugged into any standard household power plug to charge in around 4-5 hours.
